Why I created Life After BED and how it can help you move forward too

For most of my life, food felt like

something I couldn’t control

I struggled with binge eating disorder for 36 years.

Not occasionally. Not “on and off.” Consistently.

It affected how I ate, how I thought,

and how I felt in my body every single day.

I tried everything I thought I was supposed to try:

Diets

Restriction

STARTING OVER

(again and again)

Sometimes it worked for a little while. But it never lasted. Because

eventually… I would lose control again.

When I finally stopped binge eating… I thought everything would get easier

But it didn’t.

I wasn’t binge eating anymore.

But I was still overweight. Still uncomfortable in my body.

Still unsure what to do next.

And every solution I found led me right back to the same place:

  • Dieting

  • Restriction

  • Obsessing over food

  • And feeling like I was one step away from losing control again

I felt stuck between two choices:

Stay in a body I wasn’t happy in or Risk going backwards

And neither one felt right.
